    Candle plasma lighters with long necks can get into the heart of a fire better than one with a flip lid. But the candle lighters are about 8" long, to long for a pocket and big for a pack. But with pushup prongs and no flip lid, the short lighters are ideal.

    To use as one's main lighter for starting fires on camping trips, would you recommend a plasma lighter over a butane torch lighter (like the Soto xl pocket torch or Scorch Torch)? I am struggling to chose which one to buy for someone who enjoys camping.

    This is an American Eagle Chukuri (double edge) and not a traditional khukuri. Cuts both ways and equally effective. The bottom of the hilt looks like an eagle's head. Also works as a hammer. You can use any chaim saw oil on the blade after every use when you put it away.

    • @ypimages
      @ypimages 2 года назад

      Draw back is you cannot hammer the back once half way through a huge log because of the top edge. Better for combat than essential.

I really don’t rate them for normal use. Instead, I have either the Karrimor sf Sabre 75 or the 60-100. Both have adjustable back support and proper waist bands.
